Students of YBIS are guided in the path to understand and conserve nature. Students are involved in projects and activities in lieu with N Park’s attempt to maintain Singapore as a garden city. The butterfly garden at our school serves as evidence to our students love for nature.

YBIS is in close association with neighbouring Jurong Secondary School and Yishun Town Secondary School. Celebration of Chinese New year, Friendship day, Racial harmony day together has strengthened our mutual relationship. YBIS takes all effort to build up an understanding with the students of our buddy schools, share knowledge and rejoice in harmony. Mutual visits at frequent intervals have helped students to grow and live in harmony.

Yuvabharathi International School supported by Taman Jurong Zone B RC will be curating ‘关爱大众 - The Waves: 22 Stories of Taman Jurong’. Senior Residents from 22 Families will share their cherishable moments and jubilations of National Day celebrations over the years with our students to promulgate ‘Heart Work’ in the spirit of SG Cares.

Refund Policy

  • Refund is given under the following 3 conditions.
  1. Refund for Withdrawal Due to Non-Delivery of Course

               YBIS will notify Student within three (3) working days upon knowledge of any of the following:

  • It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date;
  • It does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date;
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date;
  • It has not ensured that the Student meets the course entry or matriculation requirement as set by the organization stated in Schedule A within a stipulated timeline set by CPE;

               or

  • The Student’s Pass application is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
  • The Student will be informed in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any), and also be entitled to a refund of the entire Course Fee and Miscellaneous Fee already paid should the Student decide to withdraw, within seven (7) working days of the above notice.
  1. Refund for Withdrawal Due to other Reasons
  • If the Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those stated in Clause 2.1 of the Standard Student Contract version 3.1, YBIS will, within seven (7) working days of receiving the Student’s written notice of withdrawal, refund to the Student an amount based on the table in Schedule D of the contract.

The said Schedule D reads as follows: 

% of [the amount of fees paid under Schedules B and C] If Student’s written notice of withdrawal is received:
75% more than [7] days before the Course Commencement Date
50% before, but not more than [7] days before the Course Commencement Date
0% after, but not more than [7] days after the Course Commencement Date
0% more than [7] days after the Course Commencement Date
  1. Refund During Cooling-Off Period
  • YBIS will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the Contract has been signed by both parties.
  • The Student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the Student submits a written notice of withdrawal to the PEI within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the student has started the course or not.

Transfer

  • Transfer is possible on request of parent, subject to availability of vacancy.
  • Transfer is allowed before the commencement of the new academic year. However mid year transfer is possible, subject to the approval from the respective Principals.


Deferment

Deferment is not allowed as per the school’s policy.

Withdrawal

The Withdrawal Policy covers the following areas:

a) Withdrawal Due to Non-Delivery of Course

1.
YBIS will notify the student within three (3) working days upon the knowledge of any of the following:
  • It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date;
  • It does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date;
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date;
  • It has not ensured that the Student meets the course entry or matriculation requirement as set by the organisation stated in Schedule A within any stipulated timeline set by CPE; or
  • The Student’s Pass application is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

YBIS will provide the Student with alternative course arrangement within seven (7) working days of notifying the Student in writing of the above circumstances that will allow the Student to make a timely and appropriate decision on the alternative arrangements.

b) Withdrawal due to other reasons

If the Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those stated in Clause 2.1 of the standard student contract version 3.1, Parents are advised to submit the withdrawal form at least two months before the effective date of withdrawal for the better management of vacancy available. Parents can submit the official withdrawal form given in the School website.

c) Withdrawal during cooling off period

If the Student submits the notice of withdrawal to the School within the cooling-off period of seven (7) days after signing of the contract by both the parties, YBIS will process the withdrawal within seven (7) working days if the application is through the official withdrawal form with all necessary details.
